Helpful Information for Travelling to Bellport/Brookhaven

If you are travelling from NYC, the LIRR is very easy to catch to Bellport Station or Patchogue station from Penn Station. Or, drive at your leisure!

If you are travelling from out of state, it’s recommended to fly into JFK (1.5 hour drive to venue), or Islip Airport (25 minute drive to venue). From both airports, it is recommended to either rent a car or Uber to the wedding venue or hotel.

We have a room block at the Springhill Suites. Please use this link to book as it also offers a special room rate for our party.

Airbnbs & VRBOs book up fast. If you’re having trouble finding a place to stay, please let us know.

It’s helpful to know that this is a relatively quiet town, and Ubers can sometimes take 20+ minutes to arrive.

Some helpful notes & tips for our wedding weekend
***

Dear friends & family,

We’re so excited that our wedding is less than a month away, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

As the countdown begins and plans fall into place, we wanted to share a few helpful notes and tips for your time here:

Dress Code: Brookhaven Black Tie
The invite mentions this — and we wanted to clarify that the dress code is semi-formal.
If you’re looking for a prompt, think: dress to impress (in nature).

Explore the Area: Iconic Bellport Map
We’ve put together a map of our favorite spots — restaurants, shopping, coffee, and more — outside of the wedding festivities.
Click here to explore. All event venues are linked in the map.
This place is special to us, and we hope you enjoy wandering through it as much as we do.

Venue & Setting
The wedding takes place at our historic nature preserve, Post Morrow.
We aim to be in tune with the natural surroundings as possible.
We're planning to go tent-free (weather permitting) to enjoy the full moon.
Shade canopies will be available for high sun.
There will be a dance floor, but much of the event will take place on grass — please plan footwear accordingly.

Lodging & Travel
Need a place to stay? There are still rooms available at the Springhill Suites in close proximity to the venue.
Parking is limited at the venue — please carpool if possible.
If you're local, consider walking, biking, or being dropped off.
The Post Morrow lot will be reserved for catering and immediate family.
Additional parking is available at St. James Church and Brookhaven Elementary School (short walk).
Shuttles will run to and from Springhill Suites for guests staying there.

Childcare
Friday and Sunday events are kid-friendly — we’d love to have your little ones join us.
Saturday’s wedding will be an adults-only celebration.
If you need childcare during the weekend, let us know — we’re happy to help coordinate options.

Afterparty
There will be an afterparty at the Dunton Inn following the wedding.
Shuttles will be provided to this venue.
You’ll be responsible for your ride home — Ubers are available in the area.

Next-Day Brunch
Four little words: Breakfast sandwiches and mimosas.
Boats will depart from here around 11am to head to the beach across the bay.

Ho Hum Beach Hang (Sunday)
This will be a casual beach hang on Sunday after the brunch for a few hours.
If you are local and have a boat to ferry folks over, let us know — we’d be grateful!
We’ll have a limited number of guest ferry passes to Ho-Hum Beach.
For those joining us: pack swimsuits, towels, sunblock, and vibes.
We'll have lite bites and drinks available at the beach.
If you are planning to attend, we'll provide more info shortly on boating/ferrying over.

More to come — we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
With love,
Hayley & Johnny
